In 2013, Marinas Performance delivered the marine infrastructure works for the Sharjah Dhow Wharf, a project that supports one of the region’s most active traditional trading zones. The installation required a durable pontoon system capable of accommodating the operational demands of large wooden dhows, frequent loading activity and constant vessel movement along the busy waterfront.

The completed structure features a heavy duty pontoon system secured on pile mooring, designed to withstand significant lateral forces while maintaining stable access for crews and port workers. The platform provides a clean, level working area that assists with loading operations and vessel servicing, improving safety and workflow efficiency along the wharf edge.

The project location required careful coordination around existing commercial activity, tidal variations and the diverse vessel types operating within Sharjah’s trading fleet. The robust construction and clean deck profile ensure long term performance in a demanding marine environment, giving the wharf the reliability needed for daily cargo handling and traditional maritime trade.
