Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi

In 2013, Marinas Performance completed the installation of an Elite concrete slab pontoon at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, delivering a refined and durable access point for one of the city’s leading luxury hotels. The project required a stable floating structure that would blend with the high end waterfront setting while supporting daily guest activity and small craft access.

The installation features an Elite concrete slab pontoon measuring 3 x 12 with a Seaflex mooring system. This combination provides exceptional stability, quiet operation and reliable freeboard control. Seaflex was selected for its ability to maintain constant tension without the need for visible piles, making it ideal for hospitality locations where the visual environment is a priority.

The pontoon’s reinforced concrete construction ensures long term resilience in Abu Dhabi’s coastal conditions, delivering strength, safety and reduced maintenance over its service life. The clean deck profile and discreet mooring system also help preserve the hotel’s waterfront aesthetics, offering guests a seamless and comfortable access point to the water.
