Al Mamzar Ferry Station, Dubai
In 2014, Marinas Performance delivered the Al Mamzar ferry station for the Roads and Transport Authority, providing a reliable marine transport link within the Dubai Marina network. Designed to accommodate regular passenger movements and daily ferry operations, the station required a floating structure with high stability, durability and visual integration within the surrounding waterfront.
The installation features a Mega Elite pontoon measuring five by twenty six metres, secured on a pile mooring system and finished with a raised deck structure. This configuration provides excellent freeboard stability and creates a comfortable boarding height for passengers, while the elevated deck enhances sightlines and ensures efficient loading and unloading during service operations.
The Mega Elite pontoon system delivers strong performance in the tidal and traffic conditions typical of Dubai Marina, with reinforced components and low maintenance finishes suited to continuous public use. Handrails, access points and safety fixtures are incorporated to support safe passenger circulation throughout the day.
Completed in 2014, the Al Mamzar station demonstrates the value of advanced pontoon systems in modern marine transport infrastructure, contributing to the continued expansion of Dubai’s water based public transport network.
