Al Jeddaf Ferry Station, Dubai
In 2014, Marinas Performance delivered the Al Jeddaf ferry station for the Roads and Transport Authority as part of Dubai’s expanding water transport network. Positioned along a quieter stretch of the waterfront, the station provides an important link between key marine routes while offering passengers a clean, safe and efficient boarding environment.
The installation features a Super Elite pontoon measuring five by twenty six metres, supported by a pile mooring system and finished with a raised deck structure. This configuration ensures excellent stability during boarding and disembarkation, reliable performance under varying tidal conditions and a comfortable freeboard height suited to RTA ferry vessels.
Timber surfaced gangways and integrated seating areas soften the overall appearance and enhance the experience for passengers waiting to board. The raised deck design improves circulation, allows for clear sightlines and contributes to the station’s architectural profile along the waterfront.
Completed in 2014, the Al Jeddaf ferry station highlights the capability of advanced pontoon systems to support public transport infrastructure across Dubai. The project provides a durable and functional marine platform that continues to play a valuable role within the wider RTA network.
