New Delma Port Fisherman and Leisure Marina, Abu Dhabi

Marinas Performance delivered the floating pontoon systems for the New Delma Port Fisherman and Leisure Marina in Abu Dhabi, supporting a major redevelopment designed to serve both the local fishing fleet and emerging leisure boating activity. The project required a combination of durable, long life pontoons and flexible mooring solutions capable of performing reliably in a high exposure marine environment.

The installation features a permanent pontoon system incorporating Superior Elite Pontoon, engineered to provide strong freeboard stability, excellent load distribution and dependable performance across varying tidal conditions. The system is supported by Seaflex mooring, offering controlled, low maintenance tensioning without the visual impact of traditional piles. This was particularly suited to the marina’s broad layout and its need to accommodate a mix of vessel types.

Designed for both commercial and recreational use, the pontoons form the primary access network for fishing vessels, service craft and leisure boats operating from Delma Port. Wide deck surfaces, integrated service pedestals and reinforced structural components ensure long term usability, while the modular layout allows efficient circulation throughout the marina basin.

The New Delma Port Fisherman and Leisure Marina project demonstrates how modern floating infrastructure can support economic activity, improve safety and enhance usability for diverse marine communities. The completed installation provides Abu Dhabi with a durable, functional and visually coherent waterfront asset that will serve local operators for years to come.
