Marina Terrace Ferry station, Dubai Marina
In 2013, Marinas Performance delivered the Marina Terrace Ferry Station for the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai Marina, one of the busiest and most visually prominent waterfront corridors in the city. The project required a high performance floating structure that could support regular ferry operations, provide safe passenger movement and integrate smoothly with the surrounding public realm.
The installation features a Mega Elite pontoon measuring five by twenty six metres, secured on a pile mooring system and complemented by a raised deck structure. This combination provides outstanding stability, reliable freeboard control and improved access for boarding and disembarking. The elevated deck design also enhances visibility and delivers a clean architectural profile suited to the modern Dubai Marina skyline.
Built to operate in a high traffic marine environment, the pontoon incorporates robust materials, reinforced structural components and low maintenance finishes suited to daily public transport use. The layout provides efficient passenger circulation and secure berthing for RTA ferry vessels, supporting consistent and safe operation throughout the service schedule.
Completed in 2013, the Marina Terrace Ferry Station demonstrates how advanced floating systems can be adapted for urban transport infrastructure, improving connectivity while maintaining strong visual harmony within a dense waterfront precinct.
